Visual Cielo Developer Preview Program Beta 1.x Update

The pre-release of Visual Cielo Beta 1.x (B 1.x) is now available through the Developer Preview Program (DPP).

Developer participation and feedback are integral parts of our development process. If you decide to install and test Beta 1.x, we want to thank you for being part of the Visual Cielo team!

Note: This is beta code and should not be used in a production environment or on a primary computer. Beta 1.x is intended for developers, IT professionals, and technology experts to continue or begin their testing of Visual Cielo.  If you have concerns about installing this beta software on your computer, we encourage you to obtain the release version of Visual Cielo.

Access to the Developer Preview Program is limited. Once the program capacity has been reached, the program will be closed and no new orders will be accepted.

How to get started

Beta 1.x is available now.

There are two ways to get Visual Cielo Beta 1.x:

1.       Order the DVD kit and have it shipped to your home or office.

2.       Let us know you would like to participate in the Developer Preview Program, and then download the Setup and related files to your PC.

To get started, just submit your request. Then we will ask you a few questions to create your login, and register you for the Visual Cielo Developer Preview Program.

As a part of the program, you will have access to blogs, Community Forums and our Issue Tracker that will keep you up to date with information and tools to enhance your experience with Visual Cielo Beta 1.x.

If you registered for the Developer Preview Program with the release of Visual Cielo RC or RTM, you do not need to register again for Beta 1.x.

• Upgrade limitations
  You may not be able to upgrade your installation of Visual Cielo Beta 1.x to the final, commercially available edition of Visual Cielo 2.0. To upgrade, you may be required to uninstall the Beta 1.x and then install the final version.
• Time-limited software
  Visual Cielo Beta 1.x is time-limited, pre-release software that will expire on December 1, 2007.
• Beta support policy
  This is pre-release (beta) software distributed for trial and testing purposes only. We have provided newsgroups to help answer questions you may have related to the installation and use of Visual Cielo Beta 1.x. 
  
  With your participation in the Developer Preview Program you will be subscribed to the Visual Cielo blogs, Community Forums, and Issue Tracker.

Order the Visual APL Beta 1.x DVD kit

Choose this option to have the Visual Cielo Beta 1.x DVD kit sent to your home or office. This option requires payment to cover DVD production, shipping, and handling costs. (Cost will vary by country based on local taxes and delivery charges.)

If you choose to download Visual Cielo Beta 1.x, you will need:

• A Broadband Internet connection (recommended)
• Approximately 100 Megabytes of free disc space on your hard drive
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 installed on your computer
